Unsafe water sources threaten the lives of children and adults all over Uganda.

Building a clinic and drilling a well were In The Fields first priorities. Worms, diarrhea and other water-borne diseases were very common in Nabisoto since the only water source available was the swamp. After purchasing the property in 2011, ITFM drilled a deep water well, providing the community with clean water for the first time.

ITFM Family Clinic was built in 2012. Malaria is the number one issue in our village. Mosquitoes are the main problem because of the swamp nearby. Not only do our patients receive treatment but they also receive training about Malaria. Our clinic staff also train the students at Integrity Primary School about health related topics such as basic hygiene and disease prevention.

Our programs encourage personal responsibility whenever possible. Patients at ITFM Family Clinic pay a small set fee to cover at least the cost of their medicine. Clinic staff and equipment are paid for by donations.  Help give the gift of health by donating today to keep our programs running smoothly.

All the villagers live below the poverty level with no running water, electricity or modern sanitation. However, ITFM believes that in order to create lasting change, personal responsibility is key. Whenever possible, every effort is made to make sure that the people of Nabisoto have “bought in” to our programs. As a wise man once said “the willingness to accept responsibility for one’s own life - is the source from which self-respect springs.”

100% of your donation goes to Uganda. US workers are volunteers and US expenses are covered by the founders. All donations are tax deductible. ITFM is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization, tax ID 20-0505188
